SANJA MATSURI, which is one of the Three Great Festivals of EDO (now Tokyo), is held on May 17 and 19 at Asakusa Shirne . The three large porable shrines appear on Sunday. The festival starts on Fraiday afternoon with Daigyoretsu parade, a large procession of the people with Edo Period costumes. If you stay in Tokyo during the above days, don't miss it.
