Hello! I would like to welcome you to Sofia and Bulgaria! Since 2008, I have organised a wide range of international events, including conferences, seminars, and official delegations' visits to the country. It is for this reason that I have started guiding. By doing this, I not only offer high-quality services but also share my passion for Bulgarian history, traditions, politics, and economics, as well as how Bulgarians are connected to the rest of the world. A few words about Sofia and Bulgaria: Sofia was a Roman provincial capital and played a significant role in the first centuries of Christianity. The city is situated along the Via Militaris (aka Via Diagonalis) from Antiquity through the twentieth century. In the fifteenth century, the Ottomans chose it as the capital of Rumelia, i.e., their Balkan provinces. For this institutional tradition, Sofia remained the capital of the re-established Bulgarian principality in 1879. Over the last 140 years, it has experienced economic and demographic expansion. You may discover all these historical facts and the enticing tastes of wine and rakia with me... Any of the tours I offer can be customised upon request, with visits to towns such as Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo, Samokov, Melnik, or the Rila Monastery, or a combination of these and many more, and can include religious sites, traditional restaurants, and limited-production wineries. I try to accommodate weekend tour requests because I have a full-time job during business days. The languages I offer tours in are English and Russian. I hold a tourist guide license issued by the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria, valid for the territory of Bulgaria, and a standard unrestricted driving license (Bulgarian classification: Class B).

“Tour to Sofia, Rila Monastery, Plovdiv and Veliko Tarnovo”
We had Snezhanka as our guide for 4 days starting with a guidet tour in Sofia. We had a good korrespondance before our trip. Snezhanka organized that we could visit both the Synagogue and Boyana Church. Second day she went with us to Rila Monastery, where we were introduced to a speciality like a donut, and she arranged a lunch for us at the river. She went with us to Plovdiv where she arranged a dinner for us. For the guided tour in Plovdiv on the 3. day she had arranged a private guide. We were a bit surprised that we had to pay him 100 Euro extra. We had the information about this in the evening on the 2. day just before bedtime. We would have liked to know about this extra cost before we made the contract. I will mention that the guide was doing a very good job. On the 3. day we went on to Veliko Tarnovo. Snezhanka arranged a dinner for us. We were hoping to see the light show on the fortress, but Snezhanka couldn’t find the way to the restaurant, so unfortunately we missed the show. It was quite disappointing for us. On the 4. day in Veliko Tarnovo we had another local guide without paying extra. She also did a great job. Snezhanka had arranged a great winetasting event for us in Veliko Tarnovo, before we went back to Sofia.
