Bulgaria Tour Reviews

“Tour to Sofia, Rila Monastery, Plovdiv and Veliko Tarnovo”
We had Snezhanka as our guide for 4 days starting with a guidet tour in Sofia. We had a good korrespondance before our trip. Snezhanka organized that we could visit both the Synagogue and Boyana Church. Second day she went with us to Rila Monastery, where we were introduced to a speciality like a donut, and she arranged a lunch for us at the river. She went with us to Plovdiv where she arranged a dinner for us. For the guided tour in Plovdiv on the 3. day she had arranged a private guide. We were a bit surprised that we had to pay him 100 Euro extra. We had the information about this in the evening on the 2. day just before bedtime. We would have liked to know about this extra cost before we made the contract. I will mention that the guide was doing a very good job. On the 3. day we went on to Veliko Tarnovo. Snezhanka arranged a dinner for us. We were hoping to see the light show on the fortress, but Snezhanka couldn’t find the way to the restaurant, so unfortunately we missed the show. It was quite disappointing for us. On the 4. day in Veliko Tarnovo we had another local guide without paying extra. She also did a great job. Snezhanka had arranged a great winetasting event for us in Veliko Tarnovo, before we went back to Sofia.

Hello Birte , Thank you for the high rating of the trip Sofia-Rila monastery-Plovdiv-Veliko Tarnovo. I would like to point out that i invited a local tour guide in Plovdiv, because he knows the city better and can tell you more about everyday life in the city. His fee was 100 euros. I have assumed that everyone in your group can afford to pay an extra 8,33 euros. For which I beg your pardon. The light show was not included in our preliminary program. The show is very well presented on YouTube "Sound and light" -Veliko Tarnovo. If it can be compensation.
