Beng Mealea Temple

Start your journey with a professional tour guide to explore the impressive Beng Mealea Temple, built in the 12th century during the reign of King Suryavarman II and modified by Jayavarman VII. Located in Beng Mealea village, this temple is a smaller but equally captivating counterpart to Angkor Wat, built in the same style.

Admire the temple's grand outer enclosure, measuring 152 by 181 meters, and its expansive moat, 875 by 1025 meters. Enter the temple from any of its four sides and explore the three enclosing galleries that surround a central sanctuary, now in ruins, adding to the temple's charm.

Discover intricate carvings depicting Hindu myths, including the Churning of the Sea of Milk, in the temple's libraries.

Finally, visit Kampong Phluk Floating Village at Tonle Sap Lake. With water levels in the great lake varying from half a meter to over 10 meters, the village of Kompong Phluk is built on stilts some 12 meters high to allow for the constant seasonal variation of the water. Enjoy sunset view on the Tonle Sap Lake.
