Kampong Phluk is one of the four main floating communities in Siem Reap, Cambodia. This site is very attractive because of the very strange long stilt houses of the villagers, flooding situation, fishing activities, travelling activities, schooling activities, farming activities, daily life activities flooding forest and crocodile farms. At the end of the tour, you will feel something different and impressed.
At your hotel
Start the tour from your hotel and head to that area directly. Along the way to get there, you will enjoy the view of countryside and daily life activities of the villagers.
To get to that community, you have to take the boat around 15 to 20 minutes.
You will stop at the pagoda to explore the belief of the villagers and possible to visit some floating schools, After that, you will walk in that village to see how their house are, how they live, how they earn for living. Finally, the boat will take you through the mangrove forest before seeing the the Great Lake called Tonle Sap.
After fascinating the village and mangrove forest, you will stop at the crocodile farm. There, you can see some crocodile and some benches are ready for you to see the stunning sunset at this great lake.
