- I can either meet your at your Downtown hotel, Canada Place (Cruise Ship Terminal) or Waterfront Station (601 W Cordova St, Vancouver, BC V6B 1G1). Depending on what you are interested in, we will discuss our walking route and include neighbourhoods that interest you. Most Popular are Canada Place, Gastown, Yaletown & Granville Island. Below is an example of a timed itinerary.
Meet at your Downtown hotel
Canada Place & Jack Poole Plaza
Canada Place is easy to recognize, with it's stunning teflon roof that resembles sails. It is also the Cruise Ship Terminal for Alaska Cruises.
Located on the edge of Coal Harbour neighbourhood, this place is named in honour of Jack Poole, who was the head of the Vancouver bid committee for the 2010 Winter Olympics The site is home to the cauldron that burned during the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics.
Gastown & Steam Clock
Known as the Birthplace of Vancouver, Gastown holds the history of Vancouver's start. It's cobblestone streets, boutique shops and restaurants surround the infamous Steamclock.
Yaletown
Formerly a heavy industrial area dominated by warehouses and rail yards, since the 1986 World's Fair it has been transformed into one of the most densely populated neighbourhoods in the city.
Water Taxi to Granville Island
Granville Island
Granville Island is actually a peninsula and home to the Granville Island Public Market. It has over 300 small businesses full of creatives, makers, and restaurants. The longest side of this triangle shaped area faces False Creek under the south end of the Granville Street Bridge. Formerly an industrial manufacturing area, this is one of the most popular places to hang out as a local.

Granville Island - I will set you up with options for your lunch, and shopping on your own time after the tour. I will give you suggestions for the rest of your day, including directions for your return to your hotel.

My walking tours are relaxed and designed to accommodate various fitness levels. We can adjust the pace and route to suit your preferences, but you should be able to walk for 20 minutes at a time.
What to Bring: Dress for the weather, rain or shine. We can see both in the same day in Vancouver.
