Meeting Point
Plaza Sotomayor
- It's a square with a big monument in the Middle. Is nearby de port of Valparaíso. We can meet at the monument, you can find it on google maps by: "Monumento a los Héroes de Iquique". That's the spot. It's on Plaza Sotomayor, between the streets Blanco and Errázuriz. Let's meet there, is easy to find, because is the only monument there, and it's pretty big... Also it's guarded by Marines 24/7.
Port of Valparaíso
After we meet, I'll take you to know the Port of Valparaíso, so we can have a brief introduction to the tour, get to know each other a little bit, and give you the indications to start the tour!
Trolley
To visit the oldest part of the city (the port neighborhood) we'll take a short ride at our trolley (cable car). The cost is included on the tour.
Ascensor Reina Victoria (Funicular)
The steepest funicular of Valparaíso, and the first we'll visit. It will take us up to Alegre Hill, so we can start our walking adventure up-hills!
Paseo Dimalow
Dimalow promanade is an alley that conects the Reina Victoria elevator, with the heart of Alegre Hill. It's a small street with a lovely view to Concepción hill, and to our bay. Also there are different restaurants and local artists.
Alegre Hill
In Alegre Hill we'll get to experience all the colorfulness of our murals and houses, also our artists, craftmans/womans and workshops. There are places to have a snack, a coffee or ice cream around to put on some flavor to our visit if you want!
Concepción Hill
Then we'll cross through our secret alleys and stairs to the next hill: Concepción. This little round shaped hill, placed in front of the sea, will share with us some of the legacy of our inmigrants from the XIX and XX century. Their history and arquitecture. We'll walk trough iconic promanades and touristic places to enjoy and say good bye (or hello) to Valparaíso.

Catalina here! Local TourGuide of Valparaíso and Viña del Mar :)
I came to Valparaíso more than 6 years ago and I fell in love with this place. I just love the intricate stairs, the hidden corners and colorful alleys.. its endless magic, its art community, its legacy and its resilience; the culture, the people, the port.
Viña del Mar, our twin City: close sisters with very different souls. Viña is a beautiful Garden City, with nice beaches and restaurants, a lovely boardcoast, parks and nature, shops and old treasures around. Now I walk all over both cities sharing them with the world, and hoping you have a nice time and get to connect with this uniques cities in Latinoamerica.
The tours I offer are flexible in many ways and they can be tailored to your needs or interests. So If you have questions or doubts just ask and share your ideas or worries.
A little about myself! I studied Ecotourism. I love to walk, love nature, animals, and nice adventures. I also love hot chocolate, interesting conversations and creating things with my hands.
I hope we can meet!
