Meeting Point

El Chumico, San Antonio de Escazú

- We begin at El Chumico in San Antonio de Escazú, where we meet before driving approximately 10 minutes to the starting point of the hike.

08:00 AM

Stage 1 — Mountain Hike

The hike is approximately 8 km round trip, with about 4 km of ascent and 4 km returning, and normally takes around 2.5 hours.

Along the way, we travel through:


Mountain terrain

Cloud forest

A local waterfall


During the hike, you'll learn about the mountains and their importance as sources of water, as well as their role in conservation, recreation, and tourism.


Bring a light snack to share during the experience.

10:30 AM

Stage 2 — Stillness

After the hike, we return to El Chumico, approximately 10 minutes away by car.


Here, the experience changes from movement to stillness with approximately one hour of:


Restorative yoga

Pranayama/breathwork

Sound healing


This is a moment to slow down, breathe, and reconnect after exploring the mountains.

11:50 AM

Stage 3 — The Costa Rican Table

We finish the experience at El Chumico with a traditional Costa Rican casado.


The meal is prepared in advance so that we can sit down and enjoy it together after the hike and wellness session.


You'll have approximately one hour to enjoy the meal and experience a traditional part of Costa Rican food and local life.

-This tour involves a lot of walking, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothes.

I’m a Costa Rica-based travel operations professional, trip leader and guide with more than 10 years of experience in tourism and extensive hands-on experience across Costa Rica and Central America.
