I am a licensed guide who lived most of my life in Copenhagen. Before becoming a guide, I did transfer guiding for several years. When I am not guiding, I work as a freelance translator. Although a native Danish speaker, I have a near-native command of English. I also speak Japanese, as I have a Master's degree in Japanese.

Hi! I’m Luis , a local tour guide in Copenhagen. I first came to visit the city for a week… and six years later, I’m still here! Copenhagen completely won me over with its lifestyle, design, bikes, and vibrant atmosphere. I’m a passionate traveler — I’ve lived in several countries across different continents and speak multiple languages, which helps me connect with people from all over the world. I love sharing stories, hidden corners, and local insights to make every tour feel personal and genuine.

I am a licensed historical guide in Copenhagen. Copenhagen is an old town with a lot of history. And I do like to tell about city's development over 1000 years. We have beautiful castles from 1600s in the center of the city, as well as palaces from the 1700s. and other . Good expamles of Renaissance and Baroque. Other interesting sights could be The little Mermaid and the Gefion Fontaine. If you like to go out of the city, I can suggest a tour to Kronborg, known from the play Hamlet. It is located 40 km north of Copenhagen.

“Outstanding cycling tour”
Wonderful 4 hour cycling tour with Thomas. I found him to be both highly personable and knowledgeable, so enjoyed chatting with him and learning about the history of Copenhagen and Denmark. While Thomas does walking tours as well, I really enjoyed cycling as it enabled us to cover a lot more ground (Copenhagen is exceptionally well suited to cycling). I highly recommend Thomas (and if you’re visiting from Japan, he is fluent in Japanese).

I am glad you enjoyed the tour. And thanks for the praise. I could say the same about you. I also enjoyed your perspective on the differences between Denmark and the US.

“Amazing Day Tour of Copenhagen ”
Thomas was an exceptional guide. Would rate him 8 stars if this was an option. He created the perfect itinerary and showed us all of Copenhagen in a day. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Thomas gave us great suggestions for the rest of our trip.
