The guide meet at your Hotel ar other accomodation and the tour starts after a short explanation about the day's program.
The City Hall is the headquarters of the municipal council as well as the Lord mayor of the Copenhagen Municipality. It was built in 1905 in the National Romantic style with 2 polar bear monuments on the top.
The City Hall Square is one of the main squares in Copenhagen. This is where the famous shopping street, Strøget, begins.
Nyhavn means The New Harbor but dates back to 1673. It started as a busy market port, where ships from all over the world docked. The old and crooked houses are now beautifully renovated and are filled with cozy restaurants and bars. We stroll the area where H.C. Andersen loved and stayed for long time.
It is called The Marble Church because so much marble stones were used as building material. It took nearly 150 years from the start building to the church opening. The dome is biggest in Scandinavia and the interior is also impressive. We can go inside to feel the space and the silence. It stands elegantly close to the Queen’s palace, Amalienborg.
Residence of Queen Margrethe II and the royal family in the center of the city. Amalienborg is considered one of the greatest works of Danish Rococco architecture and was constructed in the 1700's. The Danish Royal Guard are on duty for 24 hours, and everyday at 12:00 you can see Changing the Guard ceremony.
You can choose among different restaurants in the center of the city. The guide suggests some nice restaurants in beforehand.
Christianshavn is located on several artificial islands and separated from the rest of the city center by the Inner Harbor. It has joyful view with its narrow canals and many bridges, sailing boats and house boats. It is now a fashionable, diverse and lively part of the city with its own distinctive personality.
Black Diamond is nickname due to the building’s appearance. It is a modern waterfront extension to the Royal Danish Library's old building at the Inner Harbor. We can see the joint and the contrast between the old building with bricks from around the beginning of 20 century and the new glass building from the end of 20 century.
Christiansborg Castle located on the small island, Slotsholmen, is divided into two. One part of the castle houses the Parliament, the Supreme Court and the Prime Minister's Office. The other part of the castle is used by the Queen for gala dinners, and is open daily to interested visitors.
The 17th century tower and observatory the Round Tower, is the oldest functioning observatory in Europe. When Danish king Christian IV built the tower, Denmark was quite famous for its astronomical achievements. The observatory is encircled by an outdoor platform from which you have a magnificent view of the old part of Copenhagen. There is no staircase but the slope leads to the top.
We walk through a part of Strøget which is one of the longest shopping streets in Europe.
Torvehallerne is Copenhagen's popular market place. It is situated right by Nørreport Station. There are more than 80 shops offers Danish delicacies, local vegetables, fresh fish, meet, bread, chocolate, cake, coffee and tea...etc. You can taste them on the spot or to find Danish souvenir.

• It would be a good idea to take a light windbreaker/raincoat with you in case of suddan weather change.
• If the weather is rainy, we can proceed the tour transporting by a taxi, or the guide suggests alternative plan like to enter museum.
