Meeting Point

Gare de Villefranche-sur-Mer

- Meet me at the train station. We will start our tour from there, to cross the entire city through the "Rue des Poilus"

Rue des poilus

Going through "Rue des poilus", the central street tha crosses all the village, we will admire the beautiful & charming houses, as well as the church, and go through the highlights of 2,500 years of history

Port of Villefranche

We will continue our walk through the famous Rue Obscure, a fascinating medieval passageway, before reaching the picturesque port. Lined with charming cafés and terraces, the port is also a favorite filming location, attracting movie and TV productions such as Emily in Paris.

Citadelle de Villefranche

We will then discover the impressive Citadel of Villefranche, built in the 16th century to protect the town and its strategic harbor. Today, this beautifully preserved fortress is home to museums and cultural spaces, while its ramparts offer beautiful views over the bay. We will explore its history, architecture and hidden corners before enjoying the spectacular panorama of Villefranche-sur-Mer and the Mediterranean.

- This tour involves a bit walking, at soft pace. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes.

On Sundays, the local team may occasionally be participating in a competition. If this is the case, I will let you know and offer you the best available alternatives.

Please note that this tour requires a minimum of 3 participants in total, as it includes both the professional guide and the local pétanque instructor.

If the minimum number of participants is not reached, I will contact you at least 72 hours before the scheduled date and offer you the best available alternatives.
