Going from Freedom square we'll enter the old Tbilisi. First we'll see Berikaoba and "Meezove" Statue going towards Gabriadze theatre

Gabriadze theatre and clock tower

This is the first puppet theatre in Tbilisi, built in 1981 by Rezo Gabriadze. The tower was created in 2010 by him and became the face of old Tbilisi.

Anchiskhati Basilica

The oldest church in Tbilisi. Dates back to 6th century.

Peace bridge

This is 2010 glass bridge. It has become one of the symbols of Tbilisi and connects old and new Tbilisi. It's like going through time when you cross it from old part to new part.

This was the most vibrant and busy place during silk rode period, as merchants would come here to sell or buy their merchandise, stay for a while and continue their way towards the East.

Abanotubani

The oldest hot spring district, where natural hot sulfuric water comes out of the ground and you have an opportunity to see numerous old bath houses.

Legvtakhevi means fig ravine, as there were many fig gardens on top of the cliffs. Here, you'll get to admire centuries old wooden balcony houses, which are tippical for old Tbilisi and represents its history.

Narikala fortress and Mother of Kartli

By cable car we'll visit Narikala fortress overlooking all of Tbilisi. Narikala means

"little fortress". The first mention of this name is from 4th century, some archeologists and historians believe that the fortress may have existed even earlier than that. Current fortress walls are from different time periods, starting from 4th century, however the most parts are from16th-17th century.

Mother of Kartli statue was created by Elguja Amashukeli. It was erected in 1958, the year Tbilisi celebrated its 1500th anniversary. The statue represents Georgian spirit and history. It overlooks city of Tbilisi like mother looking over her children.

Our second tour with Nini, this time to Mtskheta by van, was just as fantastic

Our second tour with Nini, this time to Mtskheta by van, was just as fantastic as the first one. Nini was extremely attentive throughout the entire tour, and the driver was excellent — very professional, careful, and friendly. Everything was perfectly organized and stress-free. She took us to stunning historical sites such as Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, explaining their importance in a clear and passionate way. Nini also showed us lovely local spots, helped us discover Georgian gastronomy, and guided us to great places to buy souvenirs at very good prices. Both Nini and the driver made us feel very well taken care of the whole time. It was an unforgettable experience and a perfect way to explore the cultural and historical heart of Georgia. We highly recommend this tour and Nini as a guide.

We had a wonderful experience with Nini

We had a wonderful experience with Nini during our private walking tour of Tbilisi. From the very beginning she was incredibly kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. She explained the history, culture, and traditions of Georgia in a very engaging way, sharing many beautiful stories and details that really helped us understand and appreciate the city. Nini managed the pace of the tour perfectly, adapting it to our group and making sure everyone was comfortable while still seeing all the key highlights of Tbilisi. She also gave us excellent local recommendations for food, cafés, and places to visit on our own, which made the rest of our stay even better. Thanks to her, we truly felt the charm of Tbilisi and Georgia. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would absolutely recommend her to anyone visiting the city.
