Olimpia (archaeological site) Parking Lot
We can meet at the parking lot of the archaeological site of Olympia. From there we have to walk around 5 minutes on foot in order to reach the entrance of the site
In the archaeological site we’ll see the ruins of the great temple of Zeus, the largest ancient Greek temple of Southern Greece, the stadium, were all the athletic contests were taking place, and the altar of Hera, where the Olympic Flame is lit, several months before the beginning of the modern Olympics
You’ll be able to see some of the finest pieces of ancient Greek art, including the sculptures of the Temple of Zeus and the statue of Nike of Paionios. The central piece of the collection is the statue of Hermes and the infant Dionysus, widely considered to be the greatest sculptural group of Ancient Greece

Entrance fees to Ancient Olympia and the museum : 12 euros per person (European Union citizens over the age of 65 have a 50% discount for all archaeological sites and museums. For EU students under the age of 25 the entrance is free to all archaeological sites and museums)
