“Excellent Two Days in Bali”
We just finished an exhausting, but deeply interesting visit to Bali. Kotaro is a very happy and sincere young Balinese man who shared the way of life and the intricate belief systems of this island with us. Bali could be seen as over-touristed, but Kotaro highlighted so much of what makes this island fascinating and unique that we scarcely noticed it. Our heads are spinning with information and our memories are filled with the beauty and special spirituality of a one-of-a-kind place. Of special note is Kotaro's effort to help one of use with disability issues by bringing a wheelchair. Please note that Bali is difficult for anyone handicapped. There are precarious steps everywhere. This is why we appreciated the efforts made by Kotaro to customize the tour for us. My only issue, and it is a small one, is that new tourists to the island benefit from less exposure to the touristy "artisan" experience and more exposure to the temples and houses and real life of Bali. “A blend of History and Spirituality”
Kotaro created the perfect day for us based on our wants. Friendly, on-time (which in Bali is a miracle!), knowledgable, and a great conversationalist. He shared information throughout our trip, including the spiritual practices of the Balinese. He had the perfect lunch spot overlooking rice terraces and knew how to avoid the crowds. His car was comfortable and his driving amazing given the traffic. Money well spent for a priceless experience we could not have gotten on our own.
