This is a walking tour, and aims to showcase some of the wonderful historic sights in our capital city. Dublin is a beautiful city, with it's Georgian terraces and squares being particularly special. As a private tour, this can be curated to reflect your interests and fitness levels.

Meeting Point
Your hotel if in the city centre
- I can meet you at your hotel if it is in the city centre. Or I can meet you in front of the National Gallery in Merrion Square.
Georgian Dublin
We will explore the Georgian squares of Dublin and visit the museums, galleries and parks in this area. We will see the Oscar Wilde statue, admire the Georgian houses and their doors, and note the many architectural details that make these squares special. Within this area we have the National Gallery of Ireland, the National Library of Ireland, and the Museum of Archeology, and I will do a 'highlights' tour in each, tailored to your interests.
Dublin Castle
Dublin Castle was the seat of British rule in Ireland for over 700 years and today is a complex of interesting buildings dating from 1204 to modern times. Within the gardens, the River Poddle flowed into a pool - the original 'dubh linn', giving Dublin it's name! This is well worth a visit.
St Patrick's Cathedral
St Patrick's Cathedral is the largest cathedral in Ireland and is a stunning building with a fascinating history. Within the cathedral are many interesting tombs and monuments and artefacts and I will guide you through them. There is an admission charge here.

I have been guiding since 2010 and have my own limousine. I offer walking tours, driving tours, specialist tours and front of coach tours. There are two tours offered on this site: you can have a full day out in County Wicklow, visiting Powerscourt Gardens, driving through County Wicklow National Park, and exploring Glendalough - the valley of two lakes. We can incorporate a hike into the day, should you wish.
I also offer walking tours of Dublin city. I worked in the property business here for many years, and then later in the political world, so I am very familiar with the city and it's history. Many of the main attractions are close to one another, so a walking tour is a great way to explore. My tour aims to give you an overview of our history, and we can dip into the galleries and museum to see some of the highlights. We can pack a lot into four hours!!
