I have been guiding since 2010 and have my own limousine. I offer walking tours, driving tours, specialist tours and front of coach tours. There are two tours offered on this site: you can have a full day out in County Wicklow, visiting Powerscourt Gardens, driving through County Wicklow National Park, and exploring Glendalough - the valley of two lakes. We can incorporate a hike into the day, should you wish. I also offer walking tours of Dublin city. I worked in the property business here for many years, and then later in the political world, so I am very familiar with the city and it's history. Many of the main attractions are close to one another, so a walking tour is a great way to explore. My tour aims to give you an overview of our history, and we can dip into the galleries and museum to see some of the highlights. We can pack a lot into four hours!!

I love food, music, sport, history, politics and of course, the odd pint of Guinness. I retired in 2019 after a 40 year career in the technology industry, working for some of the biggest global names in the business. Because of my passion for all things historical my dream had always been to become a tour guide and I qualified as a official guide in August 2020. Dublin - From Strongbow to the Georgians.

Dublin began life a a tiny riverside settlement. As the centuries passed it was colonised by the Vikings, the Normans and finally, the English. By the time of the Georgian era the population had risen to one hundred thousand people, who lived mostly between the boundaries of the Royal and Grand canals. The story of what happened in the centuries between the Norman invasion in 1167 and the end of the Georgian era in 1804 sets the scene for how Dublin became what it is today.
