This is a driven day tour of the 'Garden of Ireland' as County Wicklow is known. We will visit Powerscourt Gardens, Wicklow National Park and Glendalough. A hike could be included in the day if requested - or a sheep dog demo. (admissions/demos are extra). I am the eighth generation of an upland farm, with sheep and cattle, so know the area very well, and am proud to show it to guests.

Powerscourt Gardens
Rated by National Geographic as third best in the world, these are stunning! I will guide you over 47 acres of gardens, created by many generations of the Wingfield family, and tell you many stories about the families that have lived here.
Wicklow Mountains National Park
This park lies less than an hour from the city centre and includes most of the Wicklow Mountain range, the largest mountain range in Ireland. This is my home patch and I will guide you through heather covered mountains, discussing history, the environment, the many movies that have been shot here, and a bit of local gossip!
Glendalough
The valley of two lakes, with the ruins of a monastic city. Here we have history, geography and a hikers paradise...

Inclusions & Exclusions
Your fee includes transport in a luxurious E class Mercedes limousine that is licensed and fully insured for carrying for hire or reward. It is a legal requirement in Ireland that cars carrying passengers for reward are licensed, regularly inspected, and carry a specific insurance. The green disc on the front and rear windscreens indicate a licensed car. All parking and tolls are included as are the services of your driver guide, a qualified guide with over twelve year's experience.
This is a sedan car, so if four people travel, someone has to sit in the middle seat.
All admissions/sheepdog demos and meals/drinks.

About Tour Guide Dairine N.
I have been guiding since 2010 and have my own limousine. I offer walking tours, driving tours, specialist tours and front of coach tours. There are two tours offered on this site: you can have a full day out in County Wicklow, visiting Powerscourt Gardens, driving through County Wicklow National Park, and exploring Glendalough - the valley of two lakes. We can incorporate a hike into the day, should you wish.
I also offer walking tours of Dublin city. I worked in the property business here for many years, and then later in the political world, so I am very familiar with the city and it's history. Many of the main attractions are close to one another, so a walking tour is a great way to explore. My tour aims to give you an overview of our history, and we can dip into the galleries and museum to see some of the highlights. We can pack a lot into four hours!!
