Nara was the first capital of Japan which held great imperial and religious power. Today, this city is famous for its amazing UNESCO monuments, such as the massive 15 meter tall copper Buddha. Located one hour away from Kyoto and Osaka, Nara is easily accessible by JR trains. Nara is also well-known for the 1300 sacred deer walking freely around the park.

“Arashiyama tour”
Mari is a lovely woman and guide who combines the knowledge of Arashiyama with a very personal touch. We immediately felt at ease with her. She suggested to ride a bike instead of walking and it was great. You get to see so much more and besides that, it's also fun to ride the streets in this part of Kyoto. Thank you very much Mari! (32 reviews)Thank you Suzy and Andy! Actually I had a business trip to Hiroshima and Okayama last 2 days and I struggled with my son in this morning. I was so happy to take a bike and enjoyed off the beaten path with you two! Thanks to your smiles, I could easily forget about how tired I was! :) Thank you so much again for joining my tour. I hope you both will have a great time in Kyoto!! :) OoKini!
“Perfect first day in Kyoto”
Mari provided us an experience that made for a perfect day for our first day of our first trip to Kyoto. There is so much to do, see and learn in this large and fascinating city. Her expert skills as a guide, knowledge of Kyoto history and her English language fluency were invaluable to help us through the day. She allowed us to go at our on own pace, yet she had a logical plan to keep us on track. She has such a nice personality and is full of positive energy. It was a pleasure to spend the day with her. We definitely recommend her!
“What a treat”
We spent two half days with Mari in Kyoto. What a wonderful tour she gave us. Attentive, professional, knowledgeable and fun! It does not get any better than this. Man thanks Mari!
