FISH MARKET

Mombasa Old Port
Old Port – Step into history at the Old Port, where ancient wooden dhows once sailed in from Arabia, Persia, and India. This was the lifeblood of trade in the Indian Ocean, bringing spices, textiles, and stories that shaped Mombasa’s diverse culture.
Government Square
Government Square – Walk through a quiet, historic square lined with colonial-era buildings, once the administrative core of the British protectorate. It’s where decisions affecting the coast were made, and today it tells a silent story of governance, resistance, and transformation.
Old Post Office
Old Post Office – A nostalgic stop at one of the oldest postal buildings in Mombasa. Though no longer in service, it echoes the days when handwritten letters were the only link between families and continents.
White House
White House (Swahili-style mansion) – Marvel at this photogenic Swahili mansion, with carved wooden doors, coral-stone walls, and latticed windows that speak of coastal elegance and centuries-old architectural craftsmanship.
Mandhry Mosque
Mandhry Mosque – Discover serenity at this sacred space, believed to have been built in the 15th century. It's one of Mombasa’s oldest active mosques, known for its whitewashed façade, peaceful courtyard, and spiritual legacy passed through generations.
Hindu Temple
Hindu Temple A stunning burst of color and intricate carvings welcomes you at this temple. It's a celebration of Mombasa's vibrant Indian community, whose culture and religion have been part of the coastal fabric for over a century.
Fort Jesus UNESCO World Heritage Site
After weaving through Old Town’s charming alleys, we arrive at Fort Jesus (entry ticket not included) – the legendary 16th-century Portuguese fortress and UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll hear captivating stories of sieges, prisoners, and cross-cultural conflicts. Admire the view from outside or enter the fort’s museum and battlements if you'd like to extend the experience.
Pembe za ndovu ( elephant tusk)
We wrap up the tour with a breezy TukTuk ride along Moi Avenue to the iconic Elephant Tusks Monument – two giant aluminum tusks arching over the road, built in 1952 to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s first visit to Kenya. A perfect place to reflect on how Mombasa bridges the past and the present.
