Alamedin Gorge day trip from Biskek - Kyrgyzstan (with car)
The hiking in the Alamedin gorge in an hour road from Bishkek. Our destination - the beautiful Alamedin waterfall, which height is 10 m and its altitude is 2120 m above sea level.

Meeting Point

Pick up at the hotel or guest house and transfer to the Alamedin gorge, an hour road from Bishkek will lead us to beautiful nature with magnificent views to the nearest mountains.
Alamedin Gorge - start of the hiking
Arriving to Alamedin. We leave the car and start our hiking in the mountains to the waterfall. The distance from car parking till our destination is 5 km, it won't be a very difficult walk. To reach that point it will take us approximately 2.5 - 3 hours.
Alamedin Waterfall - rest
After reaching the waterfall, we stop there for a little rest and to admire the surroundings, as well as to eat our snacks to be ready to go back.
Waterfall - Car parking
We go all the way back to the car parking by enjoying marvelous nature views.
Alamedin Gorge - Bishkek
After finishing the hiking, we take our car and return to Bishkek.

Important Information
Till May I work as a French Teacher at Kyrgyz International University and can deliver only 1 day tours or 2 day tours. In May and after that I can deliver multi day trips in Kyrgyzstan.
It is recommended to have good mountain shoes, an additional pair of socks, a waterproof jacket or a raincoat to not catch a cold in case if the weather changes. And also consider having some warm clothes.
If you book this tour in May or during the summer season, keep in mind that we may traverse the river 2 times.

Frequently Asked Questions
What to take to the hike?
A backpack - 25 liter or more, good mountains shoes, a warm sweater, a windbreaker or a jacket, a raincoat, a cap and a warm hat, an additional pair of socks. Trekking poles - at will.
What is the difficulty of this hike?
Moderate, it doesn't involve steep ascends, the height difference from the starting point to the destination is 350 m.
