Chandragiri is a hill situated at the south west of Kathmandu valley, with its altitude 2551 meters. There is a Shiva temple on top of the hill which is accessible by cable car ride or walking stairs up. The cable car ride takes about 8 minutes & ascends over 1000 meters from its base. From the top of the hill we can see beautiful mountain ranges including Mt Everest & other famous mountains as well as Kathmandu valley. This place gets fresh snow often during the winter season.

Meet at your location and drive to our destination, which takes about an hour.
Chandragiri cable car base station
Arrival at the base of the cable car, purchase ticket and queue up for getting into the cable car
Chandragiri hill top
Some 8-9 minutes of the ride takes up at the top of the Chandragiri hill. Get close to the temple, enjoy the spectcular view of mountain ranges, temple & beautiful nature with Kathmandu valley view. Spend about an hout at the top of the hill then return to the base by the cable car ride again.

Tour Important Information
Chandragiri is a hill station that situates at the altitude of 2550 meters so remains colder than the city, so take an extra layer of clothes such as full sleeves jacket etc.
This is also a religious place, so kindly do follow the norms and tradition.
If snow falls or rains, the trail can be slippery. So, be prepared for this, wear proper shoe.
As on the weekend and public holidays there will be lot of locals to visit the site, we may stay in quequ to get into the cable car, please show your patience.
Taking foods with us is prohibitted.
