JEBEL AKHDAR - Oman
Akhdar means Green in Arabic and by driving up the mountain with fruit and vegetable gardens on the man-made terraces built on the side of the mountain, Nizwa is a former capital of the Sultanate and the birthplace of Islam in Oman.
