Meeting Point
Hotel / Panama Cruise Terminal
- Hotel: we'll meet you at the driveway outside the hotel lobby of your hotel. Cruise Terminal: we'll meet you at the arrival lobby located outside the customs area. We'll be holding a sign with your name.
Arrival at the Gatun Pier
After a 45 minute drive from Panama City, we'll arrive at the Gatun Pier to embark on a panga boat and sail on the lake toward Monkey Island.
Arrival at Monkey Island
Encounter a diverse array of wildlife, including capuchin, tamarin, howler monkeys, sloths, coatis, and capybaras, as well as reptiles such as iguanas and crocodiles.
Head back to the Gatun Pier
After an amazing morning enjoying the sighting of all these species at the beautiful Gatun Lake, we sail back to the pier.

After our arrival, we'll get back in the SUV and head back to Panama City

We just entered the downtown Panama City perimeter and on our way to your hotel or Panama Cruise Terminal.

About Mario
I come from a family of hard working entrepreneurs who taught me self respect, global business, common sense, humility, family values, and respect to God, country, fellow human beings, all living creatures and nature in general. Above all, I am a husband and a father to six exceptional girls and boys who make me very proud.
I love deep sea fishing around the Pearl Island Archipelago in Panama's Pacific Ocean. I also enjoy cooking for my friends and family as well as dinning out at the best European and Chinese restaurants that Panama has to offer.
Hosting and making friends, showing people my beautiful country, that I love so much, comes very natural to me. The fact that I went to a military school in the USA also gives me the knowledge on the culture and ways of the American traveler as well as being courteous and always on time to all meetings, appointments and events.
With tourism I’ve found a beautiful side of both, Panama and myself. I love Panama and would love to show it to you through my eyes. I enjoy hosting and entertaining guests from all over the world, not only as a local tour guide, but as a friend or family member abroad would do.

“Excellent tour with Mario ”
We arranged a tour with Mario. He was very good about introducing himself, and confirming all the details, as part of the booking process. In our case, we requested to tweak the standard tour slightly, and he was very accommodating of that as well. Our first stop was the Panama Canal. Usually the IMAX movie and the ship transit do not overlap. They are staggered so one can do both. But in our case, they did, due to a delay in ship arrival. Mario stood at the locks’ observation deck, saving our places, so we could catch part of the movie. As the ships got nearer, he texted us so we could come out of the theater to see the ship transit. It turned out we still missed the first part of the ship transit (the initial opening of the lock gates) because it took us longer than expected to walk from the theater back to the observation deck. But Mario took a video of it, so we could still see it. Then he got us back into the movie to catch the rest of it. Mario was also flexible about the rest of the tour, spending more or less time here or there according to our wishes. Highly recommend him.
