I am a licensed tour guide in Peru with a degree in tourism and archaeology and a lot of passion for my culture and my country that I love sharing. This is why I love so much to be a guide and I am looking forward to welcoming you to my beautiful country to learn more about its incredible history and nature. With me, you are ensured to get a quality, authentic experience of the real Peru through the eyes of locals. I was fortunate to be born and raised in Cusco, the ancient capital of the Incas. I have been working in tourism there for over 20 years, and during that time I have also hiked the Inca Trail professionally over 500 times! The Andes mountains are my home. I like meeting people from different parts of the world. I have traveled myself mostly all over South America but not much beyond. The tourists I am lucky enough to meet and assist also give me much back in terms of learning about other cultures and perspectives. Since the start of this year I've been offering virtual tours in Cusco as well as Machu Picchu using a gimbal giving you the option to learn more about these magnificent places from the comfort of your couch. I like to share a lot of knowledge with virtual travelers to bring Cusco and Machu Picchu to life, but I also try to be as interactive as possible so that you feel like you're walking in these locations with me. When I was a schoolboy I realized I really love sharing my local culture, tradition and history with others, meeting new people and making friends. I was also good at learning English. Thus, all these background made my mind up to study Tourism. In addition, I was born and raised up in a village. Then who better than me can know the local culture and history as I have grown up speaking two languages: Quechua and Spanish, the first one, is our ancestors' language (my mother language too) with about 1. 5K years of speaking widely in the Andes. “Virtual Tour of Machu Picchu”
Wow! What an amazing experience! I booked this as an opportunity for our students to "travel" and learn about a place we are unable to visit in person. Michael did an excellent job on this tour. He created a truly unique educational experience for our students and families. I have received many notes of positive feedback stating how much they enjoyed this experience.
