A blast from the past... and a taste of Peru
Learn about millennial Peru with a visit to an ancient pyramid. Visit a local market and learn our products. Drive to the city of lima to visit a hole-on-the-wall place to taste local flavor. From there visit a UNESCO world heritage site, Downtown Lima, to learn about The City of the Kings with its majestic churches. Visit the oldest colonial house still inhabited by the same family for 18 generations. Close the day with a visit to the best private pre-inca museum, home to exquisite pottery.

Pachacamac archaeological site
At proper time, drive to Pachacamac (45 minutes) considered the most important oracle from pre-Inca time. It is an Adobe brick pyramid that was used for thousands of years by my ancestors. There is some walking required, but not too long. Around 11:30 or 12:00 o´clock visit a local market to see some of the local products endemic from our land. Then drive to any hole-on-the-wall restaurant nearby to taste local flavor (lunch not included).
Historical center of Lima
After lunch, drive to the historical Center of Lima ( 35 minutes), a UNESCO world heritage site. Visit the oldest colonial house in america inhabited by the same family for 18 generations. Also visit the catacombs located under the San Francisco Monastery, an original 16th century church. Known for its arquitecture, downtown Lima is a must-see place where the oldest colonial house is located.
Larco Museum
Afterwards, drive 30 minutes to arguably, the best private collection of pre incan artefacts. Peruvian history dates back almost 5000 years. This museum will give you an indepth understading of this complex civilization where they excelled at pottery-making; metal melting and smelting, and exquisite weaving.

Tour Important Information
No tour in Lima requires special clothing. Casual dress is the way to go. Although this is not a shopping tour, sometimes souvenirs can be purchased. So bring some cash or credit card. Depending on the time of the year, the weather changes. But Lima is a desert, so no rain. It is quite humid. Tempatures vary from summer (low 75-high 90) to winter (low 58-high 68). But always humid. No heels. Sneakers are fine and recommended for all of the activities. The guide will recommend restaurants depending on your taste. Always a hole-on-the-wall type restaurant, unless otherwise specified by client. There is some walking involved, but transportation is required to get to the different sites to visit.

Important message from the guide
I am a free lance guide and work with many companies. So any reservations from your part i always have to clear first to see if i have that day and time available. So any day of the week i can work if available. Also, some sites work on specific days of the week only, such as Pachacamac, so that tour can only be done on tuesdays, thursdays and saturdays, while other archaelogical sites do not work on tuesdays and sundays but open the rest of the week.
