Colonial Center of Lima
After a 15 to 20 minutes ride from the hotel we arrive to the Center of Lima, where we will spend the most of the morning strolling the old colonial streets with their squares and monuments such as Plaza San Martin, the Main Square and Goverment Buildings. We will have time to enter to of the most inpressive colonial catholic buildings:
- The Cathedral of Lima, the most iconic building and home to the best museum of religious art, also known for being home to the tomb of Spanish conquistador, Francisco Pizarro.
- The Franciscan Monastery and its Catacombs a historic Lima cemetery whose underground vaults, dating from colonial times, served to bury more than 25,000 people.
Later we will walk towards old Chinatown and its commemorative Chinese Arch and visit the Main Local Market of the City.
LUNCH - selected restaurant
Time to enjoy the local gastronomy. Peruvian cuisine is a product of cultural fusion, ingredients and cooking methods. The wide array of dishes you can try goes from traditional peruvian style rotisserie chicken, fish and seaffod, cantonese food, creole food, etc. Depending on your preferences we can find the best restaurant for you. Also, there´s the chance to try the traditional peruvian welcome drink "Pisco Sour". Cheers!
LARCO MUSEUM
Founded in 1926 the Larco Museum contains one of Peru’s finest historical collections of pre-Columbian cultures. The permanent exhibition contains thousands of priceless objects, including gold and jewelry, ceramic statuary and sculptures, metals, textiles, and a display of erotic representations of the ancient world.
Miraflores
Miraflores is the most popular district in Lima for locals as well as tourists, featuring gorgeous coastal views, quality shopping, and world-class food. We can walk along the costal boardwalk, visit the romantic Park of love and enjoy beautiful ocean views.
BARRANCO Artists & Bohemian district
Time to explore this traditional area which has a reputation as the bohemian district of Lima because of its bright buildings, beautiful street art, and charming streets. It’s also home to Lima’s best bars and some of its best restaurants – and definitely some of the best coffee shops.
