This is a tour with private tour guide-driver from Krakow to Zalipie. Zalipie is the famous village in south-eastern Poland where people paint their cottages in colourful floral motifs. Zalipie with its folk art is a unique place in old polish countryside. This folk fame derives from a local ornamentation tradition, which got its origins in the nineteenth century when women and girls used to paint their cottages. Zalipie is not an open-air museum because people live in their painted houses.
