If you prefer I can finish the tour in Cascais around 1PM and drop you off there and then you can take the charming train along the coast back to Lisbon.
NOTE: Pena Palace closes on Jan 1st, Dec 24th & 25th.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Pena palace is up a hill. We'll drive till the main gate. There's a steep road (500meters/0. 31miles) inside the park you might wanna consider if you have mobility issues or get tired easily: there's a bus transfer which gets you close to the palace, not straight to its entrance.
I'm happy to help finding the best option for you!
Due to extreme weather conditions, monuments in Sintra can be suddenly closed for indeterminate time by legal imposition due to the extension of a contingency situation that can be decreed for the entire territory of Portugal.
Unexpected governmental special situations or strikes might also affect the well functioning of monuments.
This is beyond my control, unfortunately.
