Driving to Sintra (30 minutes) you will discover it´s history and most importantly, the natural park, that was all planted by hand centuries ago.
Reaching the top of the Sintra Mountain range, you can explore the Pena Palace with your private guide. This palace was internationally elected as the most beautiful palace of Europa, and is one of the best examples of 19th-century Romantic revivalism in Portugal. Your guide will accompany you inside of the monuments and locations for historic explanations.
In case access to the Pena Palace is closed (bad weather conditions or other reasons), you will explore other locations with your guide that are not commonly visited (Monserate or Queluz Palace).
As you are in Sintra, you cannot miss the chance to visit the westernmost point of mainland Europe, Cabo da Roca. It´s around 140 meters above the sea, making it a very nice location for a panoramic view over Sintra´s Mountain range and the coast, making it worth the visit.
Being part of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, the Guincho Beach is surrounded by a landscape of great beauty. The white sand dunes contrast with the deep tones of the Sintra Mountain Range in the background. Given both its strong winds and waves, the Beach attracts a great following among body-boarders and surfers.
After passing the Guincho Beach and driving along the coast, we reach Cascais. Situated near the sea and traditionally a fishing village, Cascais enjoyed an important period of development in the 14th century, when it was a major stopping off point for boats on their way to Lisbon, turning it into a very busy port at that time. From there it had an even more important period in history, during the 2nd world war, haven been an inspiration for the so well knows spy, "Bond. James Bond" 007. Discover the details with your guide.
In the 1930s Estoril became one of Portugal´s main tourist centers, and the chosen place of exile for a lot of deposed European monarchs (King Juan Carlos of Spain, among others). During the Second World War it was the refuge of writers, politicians, artists, businessmen and many persecuted Jewish travellers.
From Estoril we drive back to Lisbon to the same drop-off point.

Being an off-road driver for over 30 years, I know Portugal inside out, literally “off the beaten track”. Making friends along the way and getting to know their culture and history, led me to organize tours and trips.
Me and my team of guides know all corners of Portugal.
Our team members include me (John), Rodrigo, Maia, Paulo and Ricardo. We all put our heart and soul into each experience. As a result, taking travellers beyond the destination, away from the usual touristic hustle.
With this, we have been leading Private Tours in Portugal for over 10 years.

Joao took us on a 5 hours walking tour in Lisboa. He had a very good knowledge of history and Lisboa and explained us everything. The tour was in German abd he spoke this language fluently. I can recomend Joao for all visitors, exspecially if you want a german speaking guide

Our guide for the day, Paulo, could not have been more friendly or interesting. He covered all manner of topics, historic and current, and added immensely to our sense of being special guests in his beloved country. We happily encourage others to work with this guide and organization. Ann & Bryan, California USA

We had an amazing tour with Maya in Lisbon. She was so pleasant and friendly and brought us to some really interesting places! We especially loved the Jorge castle and stopping for pastel de nata where she made sure we got them fresh from the oven! Maya knows the city well and it felt like we were touring Lisbon with a new friend. The only thing that wasn't perfect was not being informed that Joao was not our guide as we were expecting him. Also the information we received about the meeting point and time was different than we requested but because the email came a day before the tour with instructions we believed it to be correct.
