Meeting Point
At your Hotel, Airbnb or Cruise Port
- Embark in a private sightseeing tour of historic Sintra and its stunning surroundings. Stop to see important sites along the way and enjoy exploring places not included on typical tourist routes. You’ll have plenty of time on this full-day trip to take in all the spots of historic importance and admire views of the area’s natural splendour.
Sintra Palaces: Palacio National de Queluz
You will visit two of the lesser-known monuments of Sintra:
First it will be the luxurious royal residence, the National Queluz Palace!
The Palace reflects the different periods, from the Baroque to the Rococo and onto the Neoclassicism. There we will also explore the surrounding scenic gardens where sumptuous parties where organized.
Sintra Palaces: Palacio National de Monserrate
The second, will be the masterpiece of Romanticism, the Monserrate Palace.
Following successions of owners, it combines Gothic, Indian and Moorish influences. The exotic motifs of the interior decoration, connect to the immense and beautiful surrounding garden, that became one of the finest of all Portuguese botanical gardens.
After discovering both sight with your guide, we will drive through the National Park of Sintra to the coastline.
Cabo da Roca
As you are in Sintra, you cannot miss the chance to visit the westernmost point of mainland Europe, Cabo da Roca. It´s around 140 meters above the sea, making it a very nice location for a panoramic view over Sintra´s Mountain range and the coast, making it worth the visit.
Cascais
After passing the Guincho Beach and driving along the coast, we reach Cascais. Situated near the sea and traditionally a fishing village, Cascais enjoyed an important period of development in the 14th century, turning it into a very busy port at that time. From there it had an even more important period in history, during the 2nd world war...
Lisbon
From Cascais we drive back to Lisbon to the same drop-off point.
NOTE that we do not visit the National Palace of Pena, neither is it an option.

We do not go and visit the National Palace of Sintra, nor is it an option!

Hotel/Airbnb etc. clients must provide the following information at time of booking: hotel name and address;
Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking: ship name, disembarkation time and re-boarding time;
National monuments close on public holidays or on special occasions, without notice;
The sequence of the mentioned places can be changed according to customer’s will or due to weather conditions.
