Leaving the New Town , we cross over to a completely different world in Edinburgh's old town. We discover alley ways and hear the tales that accompany them - tales of intrigue and murder (sometimes)! From the Castle, we stroll down the Royal Mile to reach Holyrood Palace, the official Scottish residence of the Queen.

The Tower of London, is home to the Crown Jewels (the coronation regalia used for state ceremonial occasions, including the 530 carat '1st Star of Africa'). The Tower is the site of imprisonment and executions - including three queens of England and houses a remarkable collection of medieval armour. Together with its many dark tales, The Tower is guarded over by a military detachment and the mysterious ravens, all under the watchful eyes of the Yeoman Warders (the famous Beefeaters).
