As well as being an experienced Blue Badge Tour Guide (the ultimate qualification in guiding) I am also a City of London Guide, City of Westminster Guide, Windsor and Eton Guide and Tate Gallery Guide, so wherever we go you'll be in good hands. Only Blue Badge tour guides are permitted to guide inside certain locations, such as Westminster Abbey, Windsor Castle and the Tower of London. My aim is to provide you with enthusiastic, informative and fun private tours which ensure that your London experience will be the best. I was born in the North of England but spent much of my childhood living in India and the Middle East. I moved to London for a year to study on a postgraduate course and never left - working, bringing up my children and developing my career in guiding here. Apart from a few years living in Japan and Singapore, London has been my home for 30 years. I believe there is something for everyone here in London, 2000 years of history rubbing shoulders in a contemporary city with modern architecture, fashion and art. Whatever you are interested in, whether it is royalty, castles, palaces, traditions, galleries, museums or modern culture I can tailor a tour for you. My bespoke tours include walking tours, tours by public transport ( bus, tube, boat or train), or I can organize a car with a driver or a minibus. Within London we can cover the major sites--Westminster Abbey, Royal London, Buckingham Palace, Changing of the Guard, Churchill War Rooms, St Paul's Cathedral, Tower of London or explore less well-known districts like Bermondsey, Shoreditch or Spitalfields. Out of London Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Bath, Dover, Leeds Castle, Hever Castle are a few of the many wonderful places that can be easily reached in a day trip. Before qualifying as a tour guide Dick taught in Cambridge and nearby Suffolk. He has played and coached rugby locally and internationally. Dick was coach of the Cambridge University Rugby team, “The Blues”, from 2001 to 2010 helping them to beat Oxford, ‘the other place,’ six times. He also coached the Swedish team at the Women’s World Cup Finals in 2010. “Fantastic tour - highly recommend ”
Wonderful tour. Caroline was a fantastic guide - not just knowledgeable but truly passionate. Her experience and good relations resulted in a front row view for the changing of the guard and walking history lesson throughout. We visited Borough Market for a fab lunch and then the Tower of London. It was all meticulously planned and the best tour we have ever done. Thank you Caroline! Highly recommend.
