Greetings I'm a third generation Londoner and have been born and bred in the City. I have been leading many groups through the city. I love exploring together and each tour is different and everybody brings something new to the day. I've appeared on the US TV network NBC "Today" programme and spoken about what's available for visitors in London. I love to walk round the sights of the city from the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Buckingham Place, St Pauls, Bank of England and from Westminster to Whitechapel. I've written a series of books "City of London guide books" available on Amazon which give a great background to the walks. I'm a specialist in the art, architecture, sights, eating and drinking places, churches, synagogues, mosques , gardens and history of the City of London and Whitechapel and lead regular walks in the area. I've written books about London's sights, literature and hotels, pubs and restaurants. I'm a graduate of Literature from Cambridge University and our walks are shot through with the history and characters of the city. I've worked in high tech for 40 years and been involved in the business side of the city. In short there's never a dull moment, come rain, wind or shine. I look forward to meeting you. I love to share the highways, byways and alleys of the city. On the walks we explore the key sights of the city, literary, historical background and of course some ancient pubs. Our walks are usually immersive with plenty of chances for everyone to get involved I am a City of London certified guide and a ITG Green Guide. Hello there! I am Jonathan and I'm so excited to share my New York City with you! I have family roots in New York City stretching back over a hundred years, mirroring the classic immigrant experience from Ellis Island to the Lower East Side. This background has inspired an ongoing quest for the best of the city past and present, from the suspension cables of the Brooklyn Bridge to the hot pastrami at Katz’s deli. I moved from the depths of Jersey to Manhattan’s Morningside Heights at 18 for college and have since split his time between Tel Aviv and New York City. I studied American History at Columbia University under Kenneth Jackson, one of the all time great historians of New York City. After college I worked in finance before heading back to school in Israel to study for an MA in Archeology from Bar Ilan University. I currently guide tours in both New York and Israel, depending on the season. I love exploring the city’s history, from the footprints of George Washington to Malcolm X, and discovering hidden gems from the best pizza slice to the coolest dive bar. New York City is an endless playground of culture, history, and energy where every day seems to yield a new adventure.

About myself – Sharona L. My parents made Aliya= emigrated from Philadelphia to Israel in 1963. So I was born in 1970 and raised here as a "sabra" – that’s what native Israelis call themselves. I grew up hearing both English and Hebrew in my home. My family – parents, 3 siblings and myself – always liked travelling and nature. Camping and hiking are a good part of my best childhood memories. As a teenager I joined a youth hiking club which was based in the Judean Desert. The club belonged to the SPNI – Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel. During our hikes we also learned about the geology, biology and history of the places we visited. I knew already back then, that this is what I wanted to do with my life – hike in nature and visit interesting sites and places. After graduating high school I did my mandatory service in the Israel Defense Forces. I was a gardener, and fiercely fought against all weeds in the army bases I served in… When released from service, I went to study "Land of Israel Studies" at the Beit-Berl Teachers College. I received a B.Ed in geography and my official Tour Guide certification from the Ministry of Tourism in 1995. I have been a tour guide ever since. I love my job, and I love my country. I named both my sons after mountains in Israel – Tavor (20), and Bental (17).
