The first and main concentration camp in Berlin The Sachsenhausen camp was one of the first concentration camps established by the Nazis near the city of Berlin, and it is currently used as a memorial site in memory of more than 200,000 prisoners who were imprisoned and killed there, including Jews, communists, homosexuals, gypsies, Jehovah's Witnesses and opponents of the Reich regime.
