“Special day with Yaron touring Chirian and the scenic coast.”

Yaron was such a pleasure to tour with. His communication with us before our tour was outstanding. He was interested in learning about our interests and wanted to tailor our tour to them. He promptly picked us up at our hotel at the hour requested. We felt confident driving with him and appreciated the comfort of his car. Highlights of the day included our visit to Chiran Samurai residence street. It was a wonderful experience and Yaron was exceptionally caring with our mobility issues. Yaron took us to remote locations throughout our tour that only his experience as a local resident would know about including a beautiful waterfall. We then experienced a traditional Japanese lunch in the village of Ibusuki in a building that was a former Samurai residence. It was such a treat and the food and service was outstanding. We also did a coastal drive and saw the surfers in the ocean and another amazing volcano. To top it off before the return to Kagoshima, Yaron was kind enough to take us to a local bakery for some amazing baked goods. Yaron made the day special. We would highly recommend him. He is an exceptional tour guide and speaks excellent English as well as Japanese.

“Wonderful insight into samurai and kamikaze culture, rounded out with beautiful scenery”

Yaron was a very pleasant and knowledgeable guide. He was very cognizant of meeting our expressed interests by showing us some hidden treasures along the route and some great photography spots. We enjoyed our walk through Chiran among the former samurai houses and amazing gardens while learning some history. A quick stop at the museum for kamikaze gave us some insight into their sacrifice. Seeing tea fields from a high vantage point was lovely. Later we were able to eventually get a good view of the volcano from a couple of different spots. The sea horse farm was enchanting in such an out of the way spot with such panoramic views. Lunch was a lot of fun at a unique restaurant by a waterfall fishing noodles for our soup out of a spinning container filled with fresh spring water. All in all, a very pleasant day led by a wonderful guide who sincerely wanted to do his best for our tour. Highly recommend.

Right from the start, I felt a very friendly and comfortable atmosphere, and that is something I really appreciate. “An unforgettable day discovering the hidden gems of Kagoshima”

This tour was truly one of the highlights of our visit to Kagoshima. A big thank you to our guide Yaron for his warmth, knowledge, and wonderful hospitality throughout the day. We started the day with a relaxing sand bath and onsen, which was such a unique and refreshing experience. From there, the journey continued with many memorable stops — exploring the beautifully preserved Chiran Samurai Residences, visiting the deeply moving Kamikaze site, enjoying the scenic views at Lake Ikeda, and having fun at the flowing somen restaurant. Yaron made the entire experience smooth, engaging, and very personal with his stories and insights. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to discover the hidden gems of Kagoshima beyond the usual tourist spots.
