I fell in love with New York the moment I set foot here. It's been over 30 years now. I love this city so much that I became an NYC tour guide. I enjoy showing people different faces of NYC - from the bustling city of skyscrapers to the quiet streets of out-of-the-tourists-way neighborhoods. I love telling stories of people who made New York what is it - the self-made millionaires, famous writers, daring architects, beautiful and powerful women. I can show you major landmarks as well as secret spots and cozy old bars where you can feel NYC history. I can take you to places where sounds of jazz rule the night and people swing-dance - a dance which was born in Harlem, NY, and had swept the world with its infectious joy. I'm a licensed sightseeing guide with many years of experience. I'm truly fascinated with the unique history of New York City and love to share my passion for it. I've studied History of Art at Harvard Extension School (Cambridge, Mass) and New School (NYC) and took classes on NYC Architectural History at Cooper Union (NYC).

Hello everyone! My name is Sarak. I am an English speaking tour guide in Siem Reap, Angkor Wat, Cambodia. I've been doing my job for 15 years, taking people visit to Angkor Wat and other interesting places around Cambodia. I do explain about the local history, culture, religion. People say that I have good eyes for photo taking. Please contact me for your holiday in Cambodia. Thank you very much. Here are the reviews from my past guests: Guest1: Sarak was recommended to us by someone who had travelled to Siem Reap pre-pandemic and we're so grateful for the recommendation. He's very patient and knowledgeable and we learnt such a great deal from him about the country's rich history (most of our own had been confined to the late twentieth- and twenty-first century). We had experienced some trouble with purchasing tickets online and Sarak drove us to the ticket office to pick them up and the process was seamless. We did a one-day tour with Sarak, which included the Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Bayon, and more. Sarak speaks excellent English and is really knowledgeable about the cultural and religious history of the various places we visited. The trip was comfortable and pleasant, and it was great not to have to worry about transport. Definitely recommending him to others who intend to visit Siem Reap. Date of experience: November 2022 Guest2: I spent 2 wonderful days with Sarak. He showed me in a private tour all the importante temples around Siem Reap. 1st day: Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple, Chau Say Tevoda, Ta Nei, Ta Prohm and on 2nd day: Preah Khan, Neak Poan, East Mebon, Banteay Samre and Banteay Srei. He knows all the historical details and history and all legends and stories with Hinduism & Buddhism gods and religion. He is a really good storyteller and it isn't boring to hear all the details. He linked the stories with the different temples and the appropriate rock carvings. The driver drove us safely from temple to temple. Back in the vehicle he was waiting for us with water and refreshing towels. We had Lunch in local Restaurants. The food was delicious! I am happy and satisfied that I could do the two tours with Sarak. I am very happy to recommend him! Date of experience: February 2023

Hello! I am Joji. Please call me Joji. Or Bonjoji, if it is easier for you to remember from the name of the famous Rockband BonJovi. I was born and raised in Kyoto untill 19 years old. But I have not paid attention to the fact that the city was an old capital of Japan. There was a small old temple near my house and I used it as nothing more than a good place to play "hide and seek" then. I studied English and graduated from University of South Carolina with Statistic major. During my work at a precision equipment company, I have lived in California and New Jersey in the states for 12 years. While I was in the States, I have been treated like a family by many local American people. So, it is a time that I treat you back well while you are traveling in Japan. (If you were not American, no worries and I would treat you same.) Now, I got old and developed an interest in the history and culture of Kyoto and Nara, having learned more about it through English National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter Test, UNESCO World Heritage Academy and Cultural Examination, Kyoto Tourism Examination, Nara Sommelier Examination and etc. Spending a couple of years, I have successfully passed all these examinations. My hobby is visiting old ruins in the world so that I have been to Vesa Merde in the States, Macchu Picchu in Peru, Easter Island in Chile, Volbilis in Morocco, Tikal in Guatemala, Angkor Wat in Cambodia and etc. When I go to unknown places, I normally hire a local guide. I think it is the most efficient and smartest way to learn the places. Now, it is a time tha I share what I know about beautiful Kyoto and historical Nara, as a guide. The goal of my guiding is to make your journey more enjoyable while you are in Japan. Please feel free to contact me and let's enjoy the tour together. Bonjoji

Hello! My name is Akiko from Gifu prefecture. I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter. I like going out with my family, talking with my friends over coffee at a cozy cafe, reading books, baking bread and cake when I have time. I passed the national tour guide test in 2017 and have worked as a guide since then. I have guided in Gifu city, Seki city, Takayama city, Shirakawago , Mino city and Nagoya city. I have lived in Gifu for more than forty years. Gifu prefecture is rich in nature so you can enjoy the rural atmosphere. Gifu city has a beautiful river 'Nagara river' and Mt.Kinka which has Gifu castle on the top. You can go up the mountain on foot or use a ropeway. The view from Gifu castle is so fantastic. At the foot of the mountain , there are many places to visit such as parks, a temple having a big image of Buddha, and a street preserving the historic atmosphere. At Nagara River, you can enjoy seeing a traditional way of fishing ‘cormorant fishing’ which is thought to have started 1300 years ago. Many cafes have unique service called 'morning service' in Gifu along with Aichi In the morning (until about ten thirty or eleven) when you order a cup of tea or coffee, they serve toast and salad ! Near Gifu park , you can find a nice Japanese style cafe where you enjoy good coffee and seeing a Japanese style garden. Seki city is a small city but so famous for its cutlery. At Japanese sword museum in Seki, you can see authentic Japanese swords! Mino city next to Seki city is well known for its hand made Japanese paper 'Hon minoshi' designated as intangible cultural asset by UNESCO . Until recently it was not easy to guide guests because of COVID-19 pandemic; however the situation is getting better. Some strict rules about COVID-19 have been lifted. Please visit Gifu. I am looking forward to seeing you. Please feel free to ask me when you need information about Gifu. Thank you for reading my introduction.

Minoru A.
Hello, Konichiwa!! I am Minoru, Government Licensed interpreter and Tour Guide. I was born and spent my school years in Hokkaido. And now, I have lived in Kanagawa prefecture, which borders the south of Tokyo for many years. So, I am very familiar with many of major tourist attractions in Kanagawa prefecture and Tokyo metropolis. Just a short journey from the capital, there's a region where tradition meets the sea breeze. Here, you can wander through exotic street, relax by beautiful coastlines, and feel a subtle yet fascinating international atmosphere shaped by centuries of cultural exchange. This coastal area offers a unique blend of serenity, history, and quiet charm —a refreshing contrast to Japan’s urban bustle. While my focus is on guiding you through the many hidden gems of this area, I can also introduce you to the excitement of Tokyo. If you're interested in exploring the city where cutting-edge trends and deep-rooted history come together in perfect harmony, feel free to ask—I'd be happy to help you discover its charm as well. If I have a chance to see you, I will do my very best to guide you, and I sincerely hope you will create wonderful memories in Japan. Thank you very much! Arigatou! I'm very looking forward to seeing you!
