Hello! My name is Shigeki, and I live in Nara, Japan.

Nara is one of the most historic places in Japan and was the country's first permanent capital over 1,300 years ago. As a local resident, I enjoy sharing the rich history, culture, traditions, and everyday life of this beautiful region with visitors from around the world.

Many people know Nara for its friendly deer and famous temples, but there is much more to discover. I enjoy introducing guests to the deeper side of Nara, including Buddhism, traditional neighborhoods, local food, sake culture, and hidden places that many tourists miss.

My goal is not only to show you the sights, but also to help you understand the stories, people, and culture behind them. I believe that travel becomes more meaningful when you can connect with local life and gain a deeper understanding of the places you visit.
