After some quality time there we shall go to Budva for a walk, we have lunch and then we ride back to Kotor. Later an important station along some ancient routes started to grow up and expanded more and more in different periods of time. Plenty of things to visit and see in the city, including a visit of the Check Point Block (Blloku), Bunk-Art museum, The Martyrs Avenue, Scanderbeg Square and one of the oldest mosque in the town, the Et-hem Beg Mosque.

The locals are still living in their own little houses with small gardens where they grow fresh fruits and vegetables.

The Stone city of Gjirokaster, UNESCO Heritage

During this day trip we will visit Tepelene fortress built by Ali Pasha Tepelena. It is visited by many notable people of the time among them the British Poet Lord Byron. The town is located on the left shore of the Vjosa River. Gjirokaster is the next place to be visited. It is located in a valley between the Wide mountains and the Drino river valley. The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, described as "a rare example of a well-preserved Ottoman town, built by farmers of large estate".

During this day trip we will visit a city, with ruins dating from the Roman era and a very pleasant little village in the hilly side of the city. The city of Elbasan is one of the largest in Albania. In fact, though it has an early Ottoman name, it was definitely an Illyrian settlement since the 4th century BC. Settled on the valley of Shkumbini river, it developed and expanded as a station along the famous Via Egnatia Roman road. The Romans called it ‘Ad-Quintum mansio’.

A little lake formed recently, has given a warmer atmosphere to this little town situated over 800 meters above the sea level. The settlement is inhabited by the tribe of Puka one of the "seven tribes of Puka". Later the town was called Picaria… Today we will enjoy the visit to Mrizi I Zanave Farm, where we may have the chance to taste delicious local organic food.
