My name is Jacob, and I've been exploring Colorado since 2007, when I moved here for my first engineering job. Right away, I began hiking the beautiful Rocky Mountain peaks, then climbing the cliffs, and learning to camp in the backcountry, but what I loved the most was exploring on my bicycle. I loved it so much that I eventually quit my job to simply ride my bike as far as I could go. Three years later, I returned to Colorado having pedaled 38,000 miles and circled the earth twice. My route traced from Portugal to China, Alaska to Argentina, then across New Zealand, Australia, and Africa. While I was out there, I learned to exist in nature, to be confident in handling any situation, and to always find beauty in my surroundings. This is the experience I bring to my tours. I pride myself in finding the most scenic places to visit, that both highlights the natural beauty of Colorado, as well as captures the local charm of the people who live here.

I sold my business 15 years ago and my wife and I decided to relocate to Charleston, SC. We had visited several times and were immediately struck with the beauty and charm of the wonderful city. But just as important we were so impressed with the friendliness of the people here. After serving on several community and charity boards I decided to become a licensed city guide and passed the rather rigorous exam. I then designed my tours to give people a comprehensive knowledge of the history of the city as well as what it’s like living here today. My walking tour is of the Charlestonwne neighborhood, located at the very southern tip of the peninsula. It includes 8 of the 10 largest homes on Charleston, the original walled city, White Point Gardens, rainbow row, the high battery and several wonderful old churches and museum homes. I love meeting new people and telling them the story of this great city and I’m the preferred guide for many of Charleston’s finest hotels.
