Surrounded by both the sea and the mountains, beautiful Shonan is a place where you can experience incredible food, culture, history, spirituality, art, and outdoor adventures. Many of its hidden gems are located away from train stations and are difficult—or even impossible—to reach by public transportation. As someone who was born and raised in Shonan, I’d love to take you beyond the typical tourist spots and introduce you to the area’s hidden treasures that only locals know. Traveling by car, we’ll explore authentic local routes that most visitors never get to see. Every tour is designed around the season, the weather, and your interests, making each experience unique. This isn’t just a sightseeing tour—it’s your chance to discover the real Shonan through the eyes of a local.

Japan
Maki T.
Hello, my name is Maki. I’m a licensed English-speaking tour guide based in Nagoya. Having lived in Poland, I understand what it feels like to enter a new culture and want to grasp the deeper meaning behind what you see. In my tours, I focus on how Japan’s samurai era continues to influence modern life — from the way people think and work to the sense of order, humility, and attention to detail seen across the country. I also connect these values to Nagoya’s history, craftsmanship, and industry — from the Tokugawa legacy and samurai heritage, to Toyota’s engineering culture and local food traditions such as miso and sake. If you want to understand Japan not only through famous sites, but through the mindset and culture behind them, I would be honored to guide you. I’ll make sure your time here will be unforgettable and full of “wow” moments.

Jacob L.
My name is Jacob, and I've been exploring Colorado since 2007, when I moved here for my first engineering job. Right away, I began hiking the beautiful Rocky Mountain peaks, then climbing the cliffs, and learning to camp in the backcountry, but what I loved the most was exploring on my bicycle. I loved it so much that I eventually quit my job to simply ride my bike as far as I could go. Three years later, I returned to Colorado having pedaled 38,000 miles and circled the earth twice. My route traced from Portugal to China, Alaska to Argentina, then across New Zealand, Australia, and Africa. While I was out there, I learned to exist in nature, to be confident in handling any situation, and to always find beauty in my surroundings. This is the experience I bring to my tours. I pride myself in finding the most scenic places to visit, that both highlights the natural beauty of Colorado, as well as captures the local charm of the people who live here.

Minoru A.
Hello, Konichiwa!! I am Minoru, Government Licensed interpreter and Tour Guide. I was born and spent my school years in Hokkaido. And now, I have lived in Kanagawa prefecture, which borders the south of Tokyo for many years. So, I am very familiar with many of major tourist attractions in Kanagawa prefecture and Tokyo metropolis. Just a short journey from the capital, there's a region where tradition meets the sea breeze. Here, you can wander through exotic street, relax by beautiful coastlines, and feel a subtle yet fascinating international atmosphere shaped by centuries of cultural exchange. This coastal area offers a unique blend of serenity, history, and quiet charm —a refreshing contrast to Japan’s urban bustle. While my focus is on guiding you through the many hidden gems of this area, I can also introduce you to the excitement of Tokyo. If you're interested in exploring the city where cutting-edge trends and deep-rooted history come together in perfect harmony, feel free to ask—I'd be happy to help you discover its charm as well. If I have a chance to see you, I will do my very best to guide you, and I sincerely hope you will create wonderful memories in Japan. Thank you very much! Arigatou! I'm very looking forward to seeing you!
