I've been living in Dublin for 30 years, and I've worked as National Tour Guide for 6 years. My customers are mainly Japanese but I can guide visitors of other nationalities as far as they speak English. I worked as an English teacher in Japan. I came to UK on a career break under the Cultural Exchange Programme. During the period I visited a friend in Dublin. I liked, decided to stay in Dublin, and consequently met my husband. I have been living in Dublin for 30 years. As well as business people, many of my friends visited me from Japan. I showed them around in Ireland many times, and enjoyed it very much, which made me to decide to become a Tour Guide.

I am a professional government-licensed tour guide. So far, I have provided private and small group tours for more than 800 guests from about 30 countries in Kyoto and Osaka, where I have spent most of my adult life in the two cities. As a result, I have also been appointed as an inbound hospitality instructor by Japan Tourism Agency. So I believe you will have a fantastic experience. Furthermore, I am also a specialist of tourism in general. I have experienced guide coaching, co-author of several inbound guidebooks, and translator of inbound materials. I was born and raised in Kamakura. I have spent most of my life in Japan except 2 years in the U.S. I am a certified national tour guide living in Kamakura. There are many temples and shrines in Kamakura. Asakusa has a world-famous Senso-ji temple with Thunder Gate. They are not only the holly places where people come to worship but the historic sites where visitors can touch and feel the Japanese cultures and traditions. I am very happy to share my knowledge with the foreign visitors who want to know about Japan. Visiting the old historic places is the gateway to understand Japan. Asakusa is in the downtown Tokyo. Kamakura is one hour from Tokyo station by JR train. So why not come and join my tour. I am waiting for your reservation.

I sometimes take my customers to places that are outside Tokyo, such as Nikko-Toshogu, Odawara, Atami, Hakone, etc. I would love to share the historical context and how it related to the culture and our current lives with you all :) Come to have a blast time with me by feeling seasonal peaks of Tokyo, culture, and warm hearted people in Japan!!!

Hi lovely travelers, I'm Serge, originally from the Netherlands, and Japan has been my home for over three decades now. What brought me here initially was love, and that love has kept me rooted in this beautiful country ever since. Along the way, I discovered another love: Japan itself. Following my stint as a radio jockey and TV presenter, where I co-hosted a dedicated program for the Nagoya Grampus soccer team, I transitioned to a behind-the-scenes role as a media fixer for international media outlets. Though my job as media fixer, I've been traveling and working throughout all of Japan, exploring unique places and meeting lots of very interesting people. I would love to share and make you, my dear traveler, experience these places as well. Visiting and getting a tour at Japan's oldest traditional vinegar maker, or experience and taste at a traditional "katsuo bushi" bonito flake maker, or do you prefer to visit some old local shrines or temples. with no-one around you, except for the crickets and trees. Maybe you just want a friend to bring you to your desired locations and interpret and be at your beck and call 24 hours (like I do for the media). If you're looking for flexibility (time, places. transport), you won't find a better match than me. My work as a fixer taught me a valuable lesson: the key to traveling together successfully, lies in a blend of humor, professionalism, and adaptability.

I am a dedicated professional tour guide with 16 years of experience in the tourism industry. I am an avid traveler who has dedicated my life to seeing the world, seeking out new experiences, and learning from different cultures. I hold two degrees – a Masters in French Literature from La Sorbonne University in Paris and also a degree in Languages and Socio-Cultural Studies. I began my work as a tour guide in Paris with a multi-national tourism company where I was quickly promoted to focusing on training other guides, in addition to providing my own tours. After six years in Paris, I fell in love with Barcelona during a summer trip to the city. I soon thereafter moved to Barcelona where I now call home – and where I started guiding with the goal of providing my guests the most exquisite, personalized and unforgettable tours possible. It is truly my passion to reach deeply into my knowledge of the art, culture, history and cuisine of Barcelona to give my guests a full understanding of Spanish culture from the unique perspective of a local.
