Chinatown Heritage and Culinary Tour
Singapore’s Chinatown is more than just a historic district — it is a living showcase of the city-state’s multicultural roots and the enduring legacy of its early immigrants. Founded in the early 19th century following the arrival of Chinese settlers, Chinatown began as a tightly packed enclave designated for the Chinese population under Sir Stamford Raffles’ town plan.

It has long served as a place of worship, refuge, and community gathering for early South Indian immigrants.Visitors are welcome to explore the temple respectfully, observing its rituals and admiring its architecture. Modest attire is required, and shoes must be removed before entering.
