Hello! I’m a local guide based in Fukui, Japan. I love meeting people from different countries and helping visitors discover a more authentic, local side of Japan.

As a local resident and a bar owner, I can introduce you not only to famous sightseeing spots, but also to local restaurants, food, culture, and nightlife. If you would like to enjoy an evening out, I can help you discover local bars and other places where you can experience Fukui after dark.

I also have my own car, which allows us to explore places that can be difficult to reach by public transportation. I especially enjoy exploring the countryside, where you can discover beautiful scenery, small towns, local food, and a quieter side of Japan that many international visitors never get to experience.

Over the years, I have welcomed many friends to Fukui, including friends from overseas as well as Japanese friends from other parts of Japan. I have taken them around Fukui many times, showing them sightseeing spots, local restaurants, hidden gems, and some of my personal favorite places. Through these experiences, I have learned what visitors enjoy and how to create a fun and memorable day in Fukui.

My tours are relaxed and flexible. Rather than simply taking you from one tourist attraction to another, I want you to feel as if you are exploring Fukui with a local friend.
