About Tour Guide Junko H.

Hi! I'm Junko.

I was born in Morioka, Iwate. I was in Tokyo for nearly 18 years and came back to Morioka in 2004. I have been living in Morioka since then. I went to the US as an exchange student when I was in high school.

I obtained an Iwate regional guide license in 2007, so I worked mainly in sightseeing spots in Iwate including Hiraizumi and Moiroka. I obtained a national tour guide-interpreter license in 2011. I have worked not only in Iwate but also Aomori, Hokkaido and other areas in Japan. I work as an interpreter, translator and English instructor, too.

I like to have interaction with people from all around the world. It's fun to meet someone who has a different cultural background. Also I would like to show you the wonderful places you have never seen. There are lots of beautiful nature and very Japanse places still remain in Tohoku.

I am looking forward to seeing you!
