About Tour Guide Miwako O.
Hi! I'm Miwako, a national licensed English-speaking tour guide. Miwako literally means beautiful Japanese child. But please call me Olive! I have a funny story why I’m called Olive, which always makes foreign tourists laugh. If you have a chance to join my tour, I’ll tell you about the reason.
I was born in Osaka, raised in Hyogo, temporarily lived in Kyoto when I was in University, and now am back in Osaka.
I'm familiar with a lot of sightseeing spots, fashionable shops, restaurants of all types, and hidden gems due to my high curiosity.
Also, I love to make foreign tourists laugh. My guests always comment on how funny I am. I promise to provide you with a fun tour.
I’m also working as a writer. I take pictures of my interviewees and several locations. Please look forward to memorable pictures as well! The photography fee is included in the tour. Don’t hesitate to ask me for a picture.

I have the same feeling as you have. I feel like having important friends. All of your kindness have warmed my heart. Also, thank you so much for treating me persimmon juice and sweet Mochi as a souvenir. I had Mochi with my husband. I hope you will have a nice trip in Nara on the rest days. Horyuji temple, Yakushiji temple, Toshodaiji temple, Asuka village, Mt Yoshino in Nara are worth visiting. Today I guided my guests in Kyoto. Tenryuji temple and Kinkakuji have slight colored leaves. “Miwako a.k.a. Olive was fantastic!”
Miwako met us at our hotel with a sign and was so thoughtful about our trip. We only had about 6 hours, so she had carefully planned out our agenda so we could maximize our time in Osaka. She had a great suggestion to get a weekend/holiday subway pass and that saved us thousands of yen. She really knew the history of the area and was so kind to me and my family. There were several times when she talked to the merchants for us and secured better deals than we would have on our own. Again, such a great day in Osaka with a wonderful guide!

I'm reminiscing you, your mother, friend and son. All of you are so lovely and kind not only to me but also other foreign visitors and shop and restaurant clerks.
