About Tour Guide Rie H.
I'm a national licensed tour guide both in english and spanish living in osaka city for 15years. Used to work for airlines and a hotel before, and really love to travel abroad. Since I quit these jobs, decided to plan private tours in my beloved city. I love the Travel Lights's idea of connecting tourists and locals and it'll be my greatest pleasure if I could help you discover my city and experience something unique. Will be great to have a friendship even after the tour ends (not as a guide but as a friend)!

“A spontaneous afternoon around Osaka”
Rie helped to fill in the free day I had in Osaka by taking me around some of the few things I was not able to cover on my own. I was able to leave any of my concerns about going about behind and entrusted her to lead the way. While she was able to guide me around town in a efficient manner, I most appreciated the conversations we had. Her English is excellent and my time with her felt more like catching up with an old friend. I would love to connect with her again the next time I'm in the area.

(2 reviews)Peter is such a fantastic/polite/cooperative guest, kept me well informed with clear text messages all the time since his first contact, came up to the meeting point exactly on time as promised (even earlier), friendly a lot to talk over a variety of topics, flexible to adjust himself to my tour suggestions, thoughtful to end the tour on time, patient enough with my developing English, and so knowledgeable that I enjoyed talking with him a lot. I'd highly recommend him to future guides, and am looking forward to seeing him soon again, not as a tour guide but as a friend in Japan. Dear Peter, I hope you had a great time after the tour too. “An evening on the town”
We went for a somewhat free-form evening tour in Osaka in a non-touristy district with RIE and she was extremely accommodating both when booking and during the tour itself. We wanted to eat and drink our way a bit off the beaten path and RIE was absolutely great helping us find some really great spots we would have never known about. She was super cool and we greatly enjoyed our evening with her.
