A Certified Tour Guide with an energetic personality whilst having 26 years of experience in the Hospitality line, including 9-years of experience in the Travel and Tourism industry. Having to undergo massive formal training in Tourism management and other trainings in emergency response, is groomed to become goal-driven and dedicated person whilst having a remarkable talent for entertaining guests and delivering a high-level of customer service. Being patriotic towards our beloved country, I am confident that I have the comprehensive knowledge on both local and world geography. Moving along with my career development, I have also developed my communication skills as well as certain interpersonal skills in terms of analytical thinking, problem solving, soft skills, management and organisational planning and research methods (information gathering and data analysis). I am also adaptable and open-minded towards others’ opinions and ideas. I strive to continuously learn and keep myself updated in order to relay valid and accurate information to my guests. Working as a tour guide for 9 years I have the experience in providing a high standard of customer service in handling school groups, private tours, diplomatic and government official groups, which has proved invaluable in increasing my interpersonal skills and team working ability.

Full-day Private Brunei City, Museum and Mosques Tour
On this tour, you will be driven passed by the Royal Ceremonial Hall, the Parliament House, visit the Tamu (Open Market), the Malay Technology Museum, the Maritime Museum, the tomb of the fifth Sultan of Brunei - Sultan Bolkiah (1485 -1524) and Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque. After lunch, we will continue our tour by visiting the Jame' Ash Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, the Royal Regalia Museum, the Water Village and Photo stop at the Sultan’s Palace (Istana Nurul Iman) before transfer back.

“Visit during Eid ”
We made our visit during the Eid holidays and therefore had limited choice of activities that we could do (e.g. museums and restaurants are closed). Despite that, Azizan made the tour very informative. We learned many interesting nuggets of information, and he even managed to procure for us the famous Ambuyat dish. We really enjoyed the tour.

“Our Tour Guide Azizan was very knowledgeable ”
Erick advised that Azizan would be our Tour Guide 30 minutes before the Tour started. Azizan was a great guide, clearly has a lot of knowledge about Brunei’s history, its people and many other subjects such as the economy, the education system, etc. Having studied in Singapore on a full scholarship and now working at a Think Tank in Brunei, he must be one of the most well educated tour guides I’ve met despite his young age. He suggested tweaking our plans and first took us to the Brunei Energy Hub, which is an impressive exhibition showcasing the country’s energy journey since 1929. We visited the Water village, had tea and coffee at a local home, visited the Kampong Ayer Gallery within the water village. We were lucky to see a few proboscis monkeys during a mangrove river safari and a couple of kingfisher birds. We also did photo stops at the Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque and the Istana. All in all, those 4 hours gave us a wonderful opportunity to get to know a country we had never visited before, and also learn the customs during Ramadan (the period of our visit)
