This is the perfect tour if you have never been to Stockholm before. You will get to experience the beauty of the city whilst we walk from island to island. We will also use the ferry boats and/or buses.
At you hotel (if it is centrally located)
We will meet up at your hotel (if it is centrally located) and head towards the cobbled stoned alleys of the medieval old town "Gamla Stan" where there is lots to see.
We pass Gustav Adolfs square - here we have the Opera House as well as the Foreign Office and the Residence of our Prime Minister. From this vantage point we have a spectacular view of the Parliament and the Royal Palace.
We walk over the bridges, while I tell you about the places you see on the way, over to the old town "Gamla Stan". Maybe you would like to stop for a "fika"! This is a traditional Swedish coffee break with a cardamom bun!
After our visit in the old town we board a boat that takes us over to the island of Djurgården. On this island we head to the Vasa museum, which we will visit and where I will guide you inside the museum so you do not miss any of the highlights.
If you are staying longer I can provide you with maps as well as other useful information such as recommendations for good restaurants and other places to visit.
We end the tour at your hotel or if you decide you wish to end somewhere else, I am totally flexible - you might like to stay on and have a nice lunch at a recommended restaurant.
At your hotel (if it is centrally located)
Guide fee is included
Transportation, entrance fees and lunch or anything else you wish to purchase is not included. I will purchase the tickets and entrance fees for you and you can reimburse me by credit card when we meet.
Transportation approx. USD 80/person
Entrance fee to the Vasa approx. USD 20/person
Lunch approx. USD 40/person
Please remember that during winter we have short days as it gets dark very early.
This is a walking tour so make sure to dress appropriately - as it can be quite cold if it is not during the summer. Also, comfortable shoes is advisable. The cobbled stoned alleyways in the Old Town aren't the easiest to walk on.

Jessica was a great companion. She knows a lot about the history of the country and the city. We had a great time together walking through the old town and her recos on food and drinks were very good!
Many thanks for the review. It was a pleasure meeting you and showing you Stockholm! Welcome back anytime - Välkommen!
