Meeting Point

- Hotel located within Kampala - Pick up from your hotel that is located within Kampala and set off for Jinja.
Ssezibwa Falls
Arrival at the first stop that is Ssezibwa falls and it is believed to be born by a woman. The driver guide will make payments of the entrance fees at the site and you will be assigned to a guide who will take you through the tour. This includes climbing the rocks to have the overview of the falls, going into the caves where cultural norms are performed. Walk in the gardens of the water falls and also take photos from any spot that gives the best photos.
Mabira Forest.
Arrival at the next stop of our drive that is Mabira forest one of Uganda's biggest forests for a nature walk. Your driver guide will pay the entrance fees at the site and you will be allocated a site guide who will take you through the 1hour walk in the forest to see some small primates like monkeys, butterflies, some bird spices and tree species with their significance to the community. This activity requires you to carry hiking boots, long pants and long stocking to avoid termites from biting.
Najjembe street market.
Arrival at Najjembe Street Market for soft drinks,Grilled chicken for the non vegans, roasted bananas of yellow bananas. This will take us about 20 minutes as we enjoy the morning breakfast and then proceed to Jinja city. The breakfast ordered from the market is to be paid by the driver guide.
Jinja Nile bridge.
Arrival at the Nile Bridge for photos and body stretching as it would have been a long drive with activities to be done.The break will last for 10 minutes and get back to the car to proceed to jinja town.
Jinja the source of the Nile.
Arrival at Jinja the source of the Nile.The driver guide will make payments for the entrance fees and the boat and you will be assigned to the guide who will take you through the cruise on the Nile. The cruise will last for an hour to explore the Nile and see its source.There will also be a bird watching to see some bird species like the king pied fisher, the monitor lizards, snakes and many more.

Arrival at the restaurant for your lunch.The restaurant is a local one to taste the Ugandan cuisine with a soft drink.

Arrival in Jinja town for a walk in to see the lifestyle of Ugandans and also visit the craft marketand buy some souvenirs to take back home

“I highly recommend Fatumah as your guide in Kampala!”
I spent two action-packed days with Fatumah, walking all over the city, to markets and sights galore. She gave just enough context and history to make things interesting. On the second day, we shopped for ingredients to make a traditional Ugandan dish which we cooked at her aunt's house. Fatumah is a lovely person -- warm and friendly. Her love for her country and people is evident. I would not hesitate to hire her again if I were to find myself in Kampala again.
