Zaabeel Palace is the main palace of the ruler of Dubai. It is a grand structure with a driveway leading to the main gate, topped with horse statutes. There are some peacocks wandering around if the weather permits.
Dubai Marina Walk: Waterside promenade packed with restaurants and other outlets. Upscale yachts cruise through the marina, where activities range from jet-skiing to skydiving.
The Pointe, Palm Jumeirah, is Dubai's iconic waterfront destination. It is a hub for the best dining restaurants, cafés, and shopping outlets. It is a nice photo spot for Atlantis Hotel and the surroundings.
A modern shopping destination with an old Arabian market design. A perfect photo shooting location with the iconic Burj Al Arab background.
This historical area dates back to the 1890s. It includes dozens of old housing units, separated by narrow lanes. In 2005, a project was initiated by the Dubai Municipality to restore the localities of old buildings and lanes. We will visit a local Arab housing unit and a unique museum dedicated to the history of coffee and its products.
We use small boats (abra) to cross the Dubai Creek and go to the other side of the Creek where the Spice Market and the Gold Souk and other attractions are located.
Dubai Spice Souk is a traditional market located in Deira, adjacent to the Gold Souk. It comprises several narrow lanes which are lined with open and closed-roof stores. It is a prime tourist attraction.
Stores in the Spice Souk sell a variety of fragrances and spices from frankincense and shisha to the many herbs used in Arabic and South Asian food. In addition, several household, textiles, tea, incense, rugs and artifacts are also sold in the Spice Souk.[1][2] A majority of the trading occurs through haggling. The quantity of trade as well as the number of stores trading spices in the Spice Souk have hanged in recent years due to the growth of larger stores and supermarkets.
This is a traditional market in Dubai, located in the commercial district in Deira. It consists of hundreds of retailers, most of whom are jewelry traders (gold, silver, diamond, etc).
