Meeting Point
Hotel / Guesthouse Pickup
- We will meet at the lobby or main entrance of your hotel or accommodation in Ghardaïa for convenient pickup. Upon booking, please provide the name and the address of your hotel or your guesthouse.
TLET FARM
Arrive at a local farm ( TLET FARM ) with up to 6 gentle, beginner-friendly horses. 30-minute lesson for first-time riders: basic riding techniques, safety tips, and horse handling, led by experts.
Horseback walk through the M’Zab Valley’s Oasis
35 minutes horseback walk through the M’Zab Valley’s oasis. Trot along palm groves, passing date palms and scenic paths, suitable for beginners.
Water irrigation system
Stop at a Mozabite water irrigation system. Dismount for a 15-minute explanation of the traditional water-sharing system, a UNESCO-recognized cultural gem, with photo ops.
Return to the Farm
Return to the farm on horseback (45-minute walk for beginners). Experienced riders can opt for a supervised gallop on a safe, open path back to the farm, guided by you or a stable hand.
Drive to Ksar Tafilalt city

Tour of ksar Tafilalet ( Ben Isguen neighborhood ) You will embark on a guided tour of Tafilalt, a modern yet culturally significant neighborhood in Ghardaïa’s M’Zab Valley, renowned for its sustainable architecture and Mozabite heritage. This eco-friendly community blends traditional Berber design with contemporary urban planning, featuring palm-lined streets, whitewashed buildings, and innovative water conservation systems. I will share insights into Tafilalt’s role as a model of sustainable living and its connection to the UNESCO-listed heritage of the M’Zab Valley. You’ll have opportunities to capture stunning views of this unique neighborhood, ideal for photography. aprx 20 minutes
Eco Park Tafilalt
You will visit the Eco Park in Tafilalt, a unique sanctuary home to local animals such as camels, horses, sheep, and goats—species integral to Mozabite pastoral traditions. The park also offers a stunning view of the Beni Isguen palm grove, where lush greenery contrasts beautifully with the surrounding desert landscape. I will guide you through the park, sharing insights into the region’s pastoral heritage and the animals’ role in local culture. You’ll have opportunities to photograph the animals and the picturesque palm grove vista, making this 40-minute experience a blend of nature and culture.

Tour Important Information
• Tour involves horseback riding and walking on uneven terrain. Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes.
• Wear long pants and boots with a small heel. No sandals. Bring hat and sunscreen.
• Not wheelchair accessible. Must mount/dismount horses with minimal help.
• Minimum age: 10. Children under 14 need an adult. Maximum weight: 220 lbs/100 kg.
• Bring water bottle, sunglasses, small backpack for personal items.
• Helmets provided and required. Follow guide’s safety instructions.
• Tour runs in most weather. Bring rain gear if needed.

My tours run daily, but please book at least 48 hours in advance to secure your spot for the camel and quadbike experiences same for the traditional lunch.
